Manifesto

Industrial AI has moved past proof of concept. The bottleneck now is alignment.

The algorithms are advancing, budgets are opening, and successful deployments are real. Yet many programs still stall because the ecosystem is fragmented: repeated effort, disconnected standards, and hard-won lessons that stay trapped inside single organizations.

Europe has deep industrial expertise. What it needs is a stronger coordination layer for the people building AI in production. That is the role of AI².

Not a conference. Not a vendor. A practitioner association.

AI² is built for people doing the real implementation work across manufacturing, engineering, robotics, energy, and supply chains. Engineers, technical leaders, researchers, and operators come here for execution-focused collaboration, not theater.

The objective is practical progress: stronger standards, shared methods, and faster movement from pilot projects to resilient production systems.

Founding members come from leading organizations across enterprise, industry, startups, and research, including

Partner organizations: Siemens, Bosch, Accenture, Fraunhofer ISST, Neurologiq

What we believe

  • Trust is engineered before autonomy is scaled

Industrial AI must be reliable, explainable, and auditable in real operations. Confidence comes from repeatable systems, not promises.

  • Practitioners should shape the standards they use

The people deploying models in plants, grids, and supply chains are closest to constraints that matter. Their experience should define the baseline.

  • European capability depends on shared infrastructure

When every team solves the same implementation challenge alone, progress slows and dependence grows. Shared patterns keep value in the ecosystem.

  • Fragmentation is a strategic cost

Disconnected pilots, incompatible tooling, and isolated lessons create hidden drag across the entire field. Coordination is a competitive advantage.

  • The expertise already exists across the network

Engineers, researchers, and technical leaders have solved critical problems. AI² connects that expertise so others can move faster with fewer errors.

  • Industrial AI is an ecosystem play

AI success is not only about model quality. It depends on people, processes, integration, and connected data across systems. Even the best model will not deliver returns in isolation; strong ecosystems do.

Convergence

Four domains, one shared direction.

Enterprise, Industry, Startups, and Research each contribute different strengths. AI² aligns them into practical standards and harmonized approaches that accelerate responsible adoption across European industrial AI.

What we do

We turn shared intent into shared output.

  • Working groups that produce practical artifacts: benchmarks, implementation playbooks, governance templates, and deployment patterns.
  • A practitioner network where high-stakes technical questions get direct answers from peers with production experience.
  • A grounded European perspective in policy and standards discussions, informed by what happens on real industrial systems.

Who belongs here

Builders, deployers, and decision-makers in industrial AI.

If your work shapes how AI is implemented, governed, or scaled in European industry, you belong in this network as a contributor. AI² is designed for people who want to build durable capability together rather than optimize in isolation.

This transition from pilot experimentation to production deployment will define the next decade of industrial competitiveness. It is too important to approach alone.

The ask

The standards defined now will decide who leads next.

If you are in a position to shape industrial AI, there is a role for you here. Join to share what works, challenge what does not, and help build common ground that raises the level for everyone.

That is what AI² is for.
